Diocesan Vocation Committee

The Diocesan Vocations Committee develops and implements a vocations plan to help generate a culture of discernment in the Diocese of Spokane. There are three areas of emphasis:

  • Inform: parishes and schools how to foster discernment at the local level by providing training, information, and catechetical resources.
  • Inspire:  each person to discover God’s call by providing materials, offering resources, and coordinating events such as retreats, conferences, guest speakers, etc.
  • Invite: each person to actively discern how God is calling him or her to participate in the mission of the Church.

The Committee meets monthly at Bishop White Seminary, and is composed of the following persons:

Rev. Daniel Barnett (Director of Vocations; Rector, Bishop White Seminary)
Mr. Jeremy Cassidy (Director of Collegiate Outreach—West Region, FOCUS)
Rev. Paul Heric (Director, EWU Newman Center)
