Who is your favorite saint and why?

St. Joseph, because I believe he is a great representation of manhood. A man who gave his entire life to serve the Lord. A man who took good care of Jesus and Mary by his hard works.

When did you first start thinking about being a priest? What made you move forward to pursue this vocation?

I started thinking about the priesthood when I was 22 years old. Well, to be more accurate, people where very kind in sharing their opinion of how I resembled a priest When I was 18. At this point I was just brushing it off, not taking it serious until several types of event in my life happened, leading me back to the priesthood. At this point it was like God was calling me there, so I went to a open house to Bishop White Seminary. During this open house, many feelings were running through my head, but I was sure that this was where God was calling to be, it felt like home. I for sure was not sure If I was called to be a priest but I did know that I was called to Bishop White Seminary.

What do you look forward to most about being a priest?

I believe the thing I look forward the most in the priesthood is the ability to be the best priest God calls me to be, and have the ability to inspire young man to pursue the priesthood, and to continue Loving everyone the same way God loved his disciples, intensely.

What advice would you give to other guys who are discerning the priesthood?

The one main thing I would tell guys that are discerning the priesthood, is to listen to your heart, don’t ignore the call. I assure you that even the experience of being in the Seminary can change one’s life. Also, you don’t have to be perfect, or the most holy to enter the seminary and pursue the priesthood. What God wants is for men to love him and be open to the priesthood vocation.
